Technique: Coral Flower

For me, the most difficult medium to work in is watercolor.  I have always admired those who can use it to create paintings that seem to be lit from within.  They are the true masters, those who can mask and lift and layer, all without getting muddied or dull.  I bow to their superiority.

ArtRage lets me dabble in  many different media, which is great.  Their brush mimicking watercolor is actually pretty good — below is the result of me playing around with the “just a drop” watercolor setting. I really enjoy the bright and cheerful colors on this piece.  To me, it represents the love child of sea coral and rainbows – pure imagination and delight.

Created in ArtRage on iPad 2 with Nomad Brush.
